Belonging to the minority Anglo-Indian group it was not easy for him to get on with his profession and only now at the  age of 31 

he is recognized as a professional  model in India. His ten-day visit in Bangladesh as he finds a certain spiritual connection with the people and  their religion. As a theologist he wishes to learn a lot about Islam and its connection with other religion.

Dr. Garfield Jansen, is one gifted with a slender figure and a kind soul and he is a professional model. Born in August 15, 1967 in the city of Coimbatore in South India, he did his B.A. in psychology and science and M. A. in sacred theology. He has earned a fellowship of the United Writers Association (F.U.W.A.). a Ph.D. in Mariology and a D. Litt. Among other honorary degrees there is an M.A. in Hinduism from India, D.D. (Doctor in Divinity). D.T.L. (Doctor in  Theological Literature,), D. Phil (Doctor in Philosophical Lit.) from the International University of California, Harmony College of Applied Science, U.S.A.

Dr. Garfield is a professional writer, counsellor, lecturer, an actor and professional model, Six feet tall with curly hair, brown eyes and tan, he started his modeling carrer he started at the age of 18. And now it’s been  13 years he’s doing this. During his professional modelling career he has won many awards, namely, “Most beautiful hair  and lovely eyes award ‘97”. Most charming face and most photogenic award”. “Best model award in 92, ’93,’94.

Basically he does ‘still modelling and his pictures went to cover pages of different magazines in home and abroad, namely, “Coastal Observer” (Mumbai), “Malabar Herald (Kerala), “Foret-Lumiere” (France),” Celecrate” (Canada) and many other Italian and German magazines.

He worked as a model for different production houses namely, Nasco (Austria), Nilsa, Radiks (U.S.A.). Marina (Greece) for products like, footwares, jerkins, T-shirts, pull-overs, jeans, watches, rings, cosmetics, motor cycle etc.

There is a modelling school in his home town where he instructs the youths about modelling.

From his point of view, modelling brings out the best in a person. A person previleged with a nice outlook and a strong  moral and ethical character can play as a role-model to the young generation who are now easily swayed by the superficial glamours and fantasies and get involved in antisocial  activities. He believes that  his way of looking into this profession might have a profound influence on the youths who might prefer to get into it with a similar outlook.

Dr. Jansen has recently been awarded Micheal Madhusudan Award by the Micheal Madhusudan Award Academy in Calcutta for his philanthiopical works and his  poetry is included in the current anthology of Heaven-99. His social works for the poor and homeless is an inspiration from the role Mother Teressa played.

AROONA REEJHSINGHANI

In 2001 she has been nominated 'International Personality of the year 2001' by International Biographical Institute Cambridge, England. This year she has been awarded "The 21st Century award for achievement" by IBC Cambridge, England. Aroona Reejhsinghani - Editor - Author - Journalist.

She started her writing career at the age of 10 when she won the first prize in the all India writing competition organized by "Spectator" leading American magazine. At the age of 16 she became a freelance journalist and she wrote hundreds of articles on beauty care, childcare, health, nutrition and also short stories and poems for leading newspapers and magazines such as the "Times of India", Indian Express", "Hindustan Standard", "Femina", "Eves Weekly" etc. She was given the title of the "Culinary Goddess of India" by Femina. Real Cookery Queen of 

India by "Eves Weekly" and many other titles. For sometime she was the editor-in-chief of "Cuisine magazine".

Then she started her own magazine on cooking "Aroona's world of food". Her first book was "Woman's World" and was printed when she was 18 years old. She has been the beauty columnist of "Manorama Magazine", the most famous Hindi Magazine in India. For five years she wrote a popular weekly column for "Free Press Journal" titled "Health without medicine". In which she answered queries on health and beauty. Today she runs her own food consultancy services, she is also recipe consultant to various hotels and restaurants, she sells her own creations like pickles, sauces, spices and develops special recipes for multinational companies, does food styling, and has also worked for more than 30 multinationals for whom she creates new recipes and advices them on their products. She has also done signature modeling. At present she is the beauty columnist for "Navhind Times Goa" and "Deccan Herald Bangalore". She runs successfully her beauty academy in which she teaches "Beauty Doctor's Course" to countless people from both India and abroad. She also treats various skin aliments successfully with natural vitaminised oils created by her for the first time in the world. With the oils she cures pimples, acne, warts, pigmentation of the skin, hair fall, baldness, dandruff and also gives long lashes, brows and pink lips. She was also nominated for the prestigious title "International man of the year" by A.B.I. America. Her biography was included in the "International directory of distinguished leadership U.S.A." She was awarded the AFJA national award for excellence in appreciation of her contribution in the field of free journalism in 1998. She was nominated for being the most outstanding personality of last 100 years by the American biographical institute in the year 1999.

At present she is running her cookery club which she started eighteen months ago. For the first time in India such a club has been started which is a platform for all foodies to be together. She is also founder of Authors Association of India. It is a registered trust. It was formed in 1982. Since then she has been working relentlessly for writers writing in all the languages and English. She is also involved with the "Green Mumbai movement. She is the only cookery expert to be featured in numerous websites throughout the world. Above all she is a warm person, very friendly and approachable and a good human being.
